Teams HFX Elite Pro and Gunadarma Tinfor from Indonesia have beaten teams from seven other countries to take home the titles of Open and Campus Regional Champions respectively for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) at SuperGamerFest 2020. As Regional Champions, they each walk away with over S$6,000 in cash and prizes, on top of individual country prizes.

Gunadarma Tinfor Team Captain Ariq Arundaya Zaneta (BeastZ) said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with our win and we hope that MLBB players everywhere can see that Indonesians have got what it takes to be the best. We were quite nervous at first playing against the strong competition from Philippines, but we’re glad that we were able to pull through in the end to win it for our country! We’re already looking forward to the next one and it is my hope that we can continue training to become even better players than we are now. One thing for sure, we will become the next champion in the PVP Esports Campus Championship for MLBB – maybe even good enough to take on the pro teams in future.”

HFX Elite Pro Team Captain Jimmy Wijaya said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to compete on a regional stage like PVP Esports, which has provided amateur players like us with a platform to showcase our skills. We were up against stiff competition with ARKANGEL but we’re really excited to clinch the Open title! All of us have worked and trained hard these past few weeks to make this a reality."

More e-sports action is lined up for SuperGamerFest 2020 from 11-13 December, where PVP Esports will crown the Regional Champions for Valorant across the Campus and Open categories. The event will include celebrity showdowns, exclusive interviews with members of professional Dota 2 team OG, CEO of Team Secret John Yao, and F1 driver from Red Bull Racing Alex Albon.

Presented by PVP Esports, SuperGamerFest 2020 is powered by Singtel and Globe, Singtel’s joint venture in the Philippines. The event is part of the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s annual Singapore Media Festival. Powered by Singtel, PVP Esports is ASEAN’s first multigame, multicountry e-sports platform. PVP Esports is guided by its core values of passion, sportsmanship and healthy gaming and seeks to grow the regional e-sports ecosystem through initiatives and tournaments.
