Samsung Electronics has announced a new generation of foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold4 5G and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G - during its livestreamed Galaxy Unpacked event in August 2022, as well as the Galaxy Watch5 series and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

Galaxy Z Fold4 5G and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G
The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, Galaxy Z Fold4 5G will be available in Singapore starting 2 September 2022. Both devices provide customisable features, tailored experiences, and upgraded performance. The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G builds on the success of Samsung’s iconic form factor, adding an upgraded camera experience, a larger battery1 and expanded customisation, while maintaining an ultra-compact design.
With Armor Aluminum frames and hinge covers along with exclusive Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the Cover Screen and rear glass, Z Flip4 5G and Z Fold4 5G are Samsung's toughest foldables ever. The Main Screen panel durability has been enhanced through an optimised layer structure, helping to reduce damage from external shock. In addition, both the Z Flip4 5G and Z Fold4 5G are equipped with IPX82 water resistance.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 5G delivers Samsung’s most comprehensive smartphone experience to-date, shape-shifting design, immersive displays and PC-like multitasking features, in addition to advanced camera technology and powerful mobile processors.
With a slimmer hinge, straightened edges, contrasting hazed back glass and glossy metal frames, the Z Flip4 5G design is Samsung's most refined yet. Shoot hands-free video or capture full group selfies at various angles by partially folding the Z Flip4 5G to activate FlexCam3. Thanks to Samsung’s partnership with Meta, FlexCam is optimised for the most popular social platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook. High-quality selfies can be taken from the Cover Screen by leveraging the main camera with the upgraded Quick Shot feature. Start high-quality video recording in Quick Shot mode and then seamlessly switch to Flex mode to continue recording hands-free without stopping the video. Users are now able to take selfies in Portrait mode and see previews in the actual photo ratio when using Quick Shot.
With an upgraded camera equipped with a 65% brighter sensor1 powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, photos and videos are crisper and more stable – day or night. The Z Flip4 5G is crafted for hands-free life – make calls, reply to texts, and even control the SmartThings Scene widget4, all from the Cover Screen.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G can capture, watch and connect longer between charges with the expanded 3,700 mAh battery5. With Super Fast Charging, charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes6.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 5G is now Samsung's most powerful smartphone. It is the first device to ship with Android 12L, a special version of Android created by Google for large-screen experiences, including foldables. A new Taskbar7 provides a layout similar to a PC, offering access to favourite and recent apps. Multitasking is also more intuitive, thanks to new swipe gestures8. Switch between full-screen apps and pop-up windows or split the screen in half9.
Samsung’s partnerships with Google and Microsoft take multitasking to the next level. Google apps, including Chrome and Gmail now support drag-and-drop. With Google Meet, users can enjoying virtual co-activities, including co-watching videos on YouTube or playing games together on a video call10.
Microsoft’s full Office suite and Outlook take advantage of the foldable display, providing more information on the screen and faster ways to interact with the content. The multitasking experience is complete with S Pen10 functionality, enabling on-the-go drawing and notetaking with streamlined storage inside the Standing Cover with Pen case12.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 5G sports an upgraded 50 MP wide lens and 30x Space Zoom13 lens. A variety of camera modes, including the larger Zoom map activated on Capture View mode, Dual Preview, and Rear Cam Selfie are custom-built to take advantage of the unique form factor. And with the larger pixel size, a 23% brighter sensor14, and enhanced processing power, users can capture clear images even at night.
The 7.6" Main Screen15 has a brighter screen, a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate 16, and a less visible Under Display Camera (UDC) featuring a new scatter-type sub-pixel arrangement. Games are snappier too thanks to the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform and 5G17.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 5G complements users’ styles with premium designs in legacy colours: Bora Purple and Graphite, and two new colours: Pink Gold and Blue. The Galaxy Z Fold4 5G is offered in Graygreen, Beige and Phantom Black among others.
From 11 August, interest in the fourth generation Galaxy Z Flip4 5G and Z Fold4 5G can be registered with Singapore telecommunication operator, M1. The new devices can also be preordered at Singtel and StarHub; at Samsung Experience Stores; as well as selected consumer electronics and IT stores (Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Gain City and Harvey Norman).

For online pre-order purchases via telecommunication operators, consumer electronics and IT stores, and the Samsung Official Store in Lazada, Shopee and Amazon, consumers will be able to redeem their complimentary exclusives via the Samsung Member App.
Consumers who pre-order their Galaxy Z Fold4 5G and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G from the Samsung Online Store can collect their devices from 26 August 2022, via in-person collection at a Samsung Experience Store or through delivery. Consumers who opt to pre-order via walk-in at the Samsung Experience Store can collect their devices in-store at the same outlet from 26 August 2022.

Galaxy Watch5 Series
The Galaxy Watch5 Pro is Samsung’s most durable and feature-packed watch yet.
For all pre-order purchases, consumers will be able to redeem their complimentary exclusives via the Samsung Redemption Portal.

Galaxy Buds2 Pro
Joining the Galaxy Z series is Galaxy Buds2 Pro – Samsung’s new top-of-the-line earbuds that provide an immersive wireless audio experience in a new, compact design, released in Singapore September 2. Hi-Fi 24-bit audio21 offers high-dynamic range. With the new Samsung seamless codec22 (SSC HiFi), quality music is enabled to transfer without a pause, and the new coaxial two-way speaker makes those sounds richer than ever.
Video content consumption has never been more immersive. The Galaxy Buds2 Pro supports 360 degree positional audio and has native Dolby Atmos support.
