Singtel has been recognised for its excellent network performance, winning the 5G Best Network Slicing Trial or Demonstration at the Network X Awards 2023.
Singtel has been at the forefront of 5G innovation – from achieving 5G nationwide coverage in Singapore to rolling out network slicing commercially – to help businesses develop innovative applications that require ultra-low latency and high-speed connectivity.

Singtel won the 5G Best Network Slicing Trial or Demonstration for demonstrating its superior 5G network slicing capabilities during key events in Singapore such as the Grand Prix Singapore Season 2022, where the technology was applied to its digital app marketplace, CAST. This allowed customers to enjoy an excellent race viewing experience.
With dedicated network slice and network capacity allocated to the service, Singtel CAST users were able to catch the entire race from on their mobile devices even around the high-traffic areas of the circuit where there were over 300,000 spectators, as well as anywhere on the island.
Singtel also applied network slicing at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where Singtel’s 5G subscribers enjoyed dedicated capacity for video streaming on video apps CAST and Singtel TV GO, allowing them to enjoy a superior and stable viewing experience in full high definition.
Singtel was also the global winner for 5G Games Experience and 5G Video Experience at Opensignal’s 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards.
In its 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards 2023 report, Opensignal named Singtel Global Winner for 5G Games Experience, citing that the telco “reigns supreme” in mobile gaming with its high score of 93.7 out of a 100-point scale. The scale assesses users’ real-time multiplayer gaming experience including issues such as latency, packet loss and jitter.
For video experience, Singtel received recognition for its consistent delivery of seamless connectivity to its customers who enjoy 1080p lag-free video streaming as well as fast loading times.
Currently in its third edition, the Opensignal 5G Global Mobile Network Experience Awards is one of the most prestigious awards within the telecom industry, celebrating innovation and excellence in network performance and user experience by operators worldwide. Singtel was in Opensignal's radar earlier this year, when the company was named the global and national winner for 5G Coverage Experience in Opensignal’s Understanding 5G and Overall Coverage Worldwide report.
