- The logistics arm of Alibaba Group, Cainiao, pledged to deliver cross-border parcels within five working days, which it said would be 30% faster than the industry standard. The service was launched together with Alibaba's AliExpress direct-to-consumer marketplace. Five countries are targeted in the initial phase, including South Korea.
Cainiao also unveiled a self-operated premium express service in China, Cainiao Express. Merchant subscribers to Cainiao Express can offer customers half-day delivery and doorstep delivery.
- Dropbox announced Dropbox Dash, an AI-powered universal search that connects tools, content, and apps in a single search bar. Dropbox AI for file previews debuted at the same time.
- ESET partnered with OPSWAT, a provider of IT, operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) critical infrastructure cybersecurity solutions, to include integrated vulnerability and patch management in the ESET PROTECT Platform.

The country also announced the AI Verify Foundation, an organisation that relies on the global open source community to develop AI testing tools for the responsible use of AI. The foundation aims to boost AI testing capabilities and assurance to meet the needs of companies and regulators globally. The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore, Aicadium (Temasek's AI Centre of Excellence), IBM, Microsoft, Google, Red Hat and Salesforce are premier founding members which will guide the strategic directions and development of the AI Verify roadmap. The Foundation will also have also have more than 60 general members including Adobe, DBS, Meta, SenseTime and Singapore Airlines.May 2023
- Google's Bard was upgraded, made available in English in over 180 countries and territories, and can understand Japanese and Korean. Generative AI capabilities were added to search via Search Labs.
Google also launched its first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, and its first tablet, the 11" Pixel Tablet.
- NVIDIA brought its Ada Lovelace architecture to core gaming through the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs, twice the horsepower of the latest gaming consoles.
- Thales announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with BSSN, Indonesia's Cyber and Crypto Agency, in Q123. The MoU covers the joint development of solutions that can help Indonesia reach nationwide cyber sovereignty.
- Elon Musk, CEO of X (formerly called Twitter), announced that Linda Yaccarino is the new CEO. Musk transitioned to becoming Executive Chairman and CTO.

- The 2nd CapitaVerse, CapitaLand’s metaverse event, is held. The 24-hour experiential party offered live performances, interactive art and fashion showcases, as well as prizes for participants that could be redeemed at CapitaLand malls across Singapore. ChangiVerse on Roblox also debuted, allowing players to explore the virtual airport while accumulating experience points and collecting butterfly tokens.
- Imperva announced a new Singapore-based regional headquarters for Asia Pacific Japan (APJ), opened a network and security operations centre in Singapore, and its first Imperva Customer Experience Centre in APJ, also sited in Singapore.- NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, targeting gamers and creators.
