"Generative AI (gen AI) is a key part of our product strategy, given that AI-augmented DevOps tools can save developers more than 40 hours each month, allowing them to focus their efforts on more strategic priorities. Our copilots like Testim Copilot leverage gen AI to help developers create, understand and fix custom test steps more quickly through interactive prompts, allowing them to develop high-quality tests faster," said Damien Wong, Senior VP, APAC at Tricentis.

July: SeaLights acquired

"Our acquisition of SeaLights extends Tricentis’ change intelligence capabilities beyond SAP environments to custom and packaged applications, offering solutions like test impact analysis, quality risk management, and root cause analysis
across all programming languages. By focusing on code changes and risks, Tricentis empowers developers to deliver reliable, high-quality software at speed," Wong added.

November: Tosca Cloud and qTest Copilot launched

"Our most recent launch of Tosca Cloud gives organisations the flexibility to deploy test automation in the cloud, on-premises, or through a hybrid approach. This can reduce overhead related to on-prem component management, while accelerating testing for software teams," said Wong.

"We also expanded our test management and analysis platform with Tricentis qTest Copilot – a gen AI assistant that automatically creates test cases and explores unidentified quality gaps."

Veeam

April: Acquired Coveware

"2024 saw Veeam Software’s acquisition of Coveware in April which brought world-class cyber-extortion incident response to our solution portfolio. We incorporated select capabilities of Coveware by Veeam into our existing offerings including Veeam Data Platform (VDP) and Veeam Cyber Secure (VCS) Program, delivering insights and capabilities to a broader set of customers," said Beni Sia, GM and Senior VP of APJ at Veeam Software.

"The ripple effect of our Coveware acquisition has been massive for us and our customers, and it’s helped to cement our position as a major player that’s pushing the envelope on proactive cyberprotection. Our customers love it – they know that a comprehensive response is the key to peace of mind. With backup being a critical facet of data resilience, VDP and VCS, enhanced with Coveware, provide customers with a complete view of data resilience."

""More than expanding our portfolio, Coveware is testament to the fact that we’ve come a long way from starting out as a company focused on protecting data across virtualised workloads and becoming a global market leader in data resilience," he added.

October: Launched Recon Scanner

Sia called Recon Scanner "a first in the data protection market that proactively identifies threats and recognises suspicious activity before they can cause damage".
