- In the spirit of teaching a man to fish instead of giving fish, Anthropic introduced coding ability into its Claude AI model. Typically, the creator of an app must pay for the use of any application programming interfaces (APIs) called as the app runs, but with Anthropic, users of the app will be charged through their Claude subscription instead.

"Simply describe what you want to create, and Claude will write the code for you.

"As you work together, Claude can debug and improve its own code based on your feedback. Once your app is ready, you can share it instantly through a link—no deployment process needed," said Anthropic in a blog post.

Google launched Gemini CLI around the same time. Targeted at developers who like using command line interfaces (CLIs) at terminals, Gemini CLI is an open-source AI agent that brings the power of the Gemini AI model directly to the terminal.
