Fortinet, the global cybersecurity provider driving the convergence of networking and security, has opened a new regional point-of-presence (PoP) in Singapore for Lacework FortiCNAPP to deliver advanced cloud security closer to ASEAN and South Asia customers.

Lacework FortiCNAPP is Fortinet's cloud-native application protection platform. The investment reinforces Fortinet’s commitment to strengthening cybersecurity across ASEAN and South Asia, bringing advanced cloud security services closer to customers to help them meet data residency needs, navigate regulatory requirements, and accelerate their digital transformation.

According to Fortinet, organisations are managing multicloud and hybrid environments while facing evolving regulatory expectations and sophisticated cyber threats. Fortinet’s FortiCNAPP PoP in Singapore addresses these challenges by providing localised security services that help organisations better protect their cloud-native applications while maintaining control over sensitive data.

The new PoP also strengthens Fortinet’s partner ecosystem, empowering partners to deliver localised, value-added cloud security services to fuel digital transformation.

The Singapore PoP marks Fortinet’s second FortiCNAPP deployment in Asia-Pacific, following its PoP in Australia. With existing PoPs in North America, Europe, and Australia, this expansion enhances Fortinet’s ability to deliver security that is closer to wherever businesses operate globally, ensuring greater agility, resilience, and responsiveness.

The investment in Singapore comes at a time when digital adoption across ASEAN and South Asia is accelerating at an unprecedented pace. According to Fortinet’s 2025 State of Cloud Security Report, 78% of organisations are now using two or more cloud providers, while 61% cite security and compliance as their top concerns when adopting cloud technologies.

Fortinet’s continued investments in the region, including the expansion of FortiCNAPP, ensure that enterprises and governments have access to security solutions that are not only scalable and resilient, but also tailored to regional compliance needs and operational realities.

Vishak Raman, VP, Sales, India, SAARC, Southeast Asia & ANZ, Fortinet said: "Fortinet’s investment in Singapore reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the region’s digital growth. As ASEAN and South Asia accelerate cloud adoption, we are bringing security closer to where our customers operate, helping them meet local compliance needs, strengthen cyber resilience, and unlock new opportunities with the confidence that their cloud environments are protected by AI-driven, scalable security solutions."
