Singtel Touching Lives Fund to support more special education schools

Singtel will broaden the support of Singtel Touching Lives Fund (STLF), its flagship fund for children and youth with special needs, to all 26 special education (SPED) schools in Singapore. Previously supporting approximately 1,800 students across six schools, STLF will now reach more than 9,000 students nationwide through programmes that equip them with practical skills for everyday life and future employment.

Since 2002, STLF has worked closely with the SPED sector by funding initiatives that focus on student development and growth. These programmes help students build foundational skills, discover their strengths, express themselves creatively and prepare for greater independence in adulthood. This broader coverage will allow more schools to tap STLF funding for such programmes.

The expansion was announced at Singtel Charity Golf 2026, which raised a record S$1.68 million in late August. The annual Singtel Charity Golf event brings together business partners and senior leaders from across the Singtel Group.

Funds are raised through the sale of golf flights and dinner tables, with guests bidding for the opportunity to play alongside Singtel management and top executives from AIS, Globe and Telkomsel. A charity auction during the dinner further boosts fundraising efforts. As in previous years, demand for golf flights exceeded available capacity, underscoring the strong commitment of partners to the cause.

The post-golf dinner celebrated the achievements and talents of individuals with special needs through performances by APSN Chaoyang School students, while seniors from Delta Senior School contributed to the evening by serving guests during the pre-dinner reception and opening course. Guests also received handcrafted chocolates from Wildness Organic, produced by young adults from the APSN Centre for Adults, showcasing how education, training and employment opportunities can help individuals apply their skills in real-world settings.
