CA Technologies has announced that it has pulled a hat-trick for the Gartner Leaders
quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for User Authentication.
Gartner Research Vice President Ant Allan predicts that cloud-based user
authentication is going to be the norm in the years to come. “By
year-end 2016, about 30% of enterprises will choose cloud-based services
as the delivery option for new or refreshed user authentication
implementations – up from 10% today,” he said.
“As
the IT landscape continues to evolve with the rise of cloud computing,
mobile computing and other disruptive technologies, the flexibility and
convenience of a risk-based authentication solution is increasingly
critical to organisations that want a strong security posture with
minimal impact on the user,” said Vic Mankotia, Vice President, Solution
Strategy, Asia Pacific and Japan at CA Technologies.
CA Technologies has also been
placed again in the Gartner Leaders quadrant of the Magic
Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis (IIPA) Applications.
Gartner defines IIPA software as software that "helps IT
leaders link, monitor, analyse and communicate their activities on a
single portfolio-level software platform, providing CIOs and other
executives with holistic views of the IT portfolio while IT plans and
executes in response to business and IT strategies.”
*CA AuthMinder and CA RiskMinder, the company’s on-premise strong
authentication solutions, and CA CloudMinder Advanced Authentication,
the authentication-as-a-service of CA CloudMinder, were evaluated for
the report on User Authentication, while CA Clarity Project and
Portfolio Management, which provides IT
portfolio management and decision-making support, was evaluated for the
IIPA report.
*CA
Technologies also received a “strong positive” – the highest rating
possible – in Gartner’s 'MarketScope for IT Project and Portfolio
Management Software Applications' report.
