The new printing line-up comes with the latest mobile print capabilities designed to help businesses increase productivity.
The new HP Officejet Enterprise series come fully loaded with enterprise functionality and a familiar IT experience, including the same user interface as 12 million HP enterprise LaserJet printers. In addition, they support the latest HP LaserJet FutureSmart firmware and HP Open Extensibility Platform (OXP) so that enterprise software and solutions—including HP Access Control and HP Capture & Route—can be easily accessed through one button on the device.
“Never before has an ink-based device been fully capable of meeting the performance requirements that large organisations demand,” said Serena Yong, GM, Printing and Personal Systems, HP Singapore and Malaysia. “CIOs and IT decision makers can be confident that the HP Officejet Enterprise series provides employees exceptional enterprise-grade security, fleet management and mobile printing options along with the fastest speed(2) and lowest total cost of ownership compared to color laser MFPs.”(3)
The series also includes a scan-optimised HP Flow bundle, providing an on-ramp to the digitised world with faster and more accurate enterprise-grade scanning and document processing that speed the transition from a paper to digital office.
A third introduction is the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M600 series. These new devices print up to 45 pages per minute and deliver advanced paper handling and finishing options.

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M680 joins the HP Flow MFP portfolio that offers single-pass two-sided scanning, access to the cloud, HP EveryPage technology and advanced sending and sharing options.
The new HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M651 series, on the other hand, comprise single-function printers that improve ease of use with a 4.3" colour touchscreen panel and access USB that gives users the ability to manage data directly at the device. They also provide simple wireless printing from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, including near-field communications (NFC) touch-to-print(6), wireless direct, HP ePrint(4) and HP AirPrint(5).
Recent research indicates that by 2015, 41% of business smartphone users and 43% of business tablet users will print from their mobile devices.(7) HP’s lineup of devices for SMBs and enterprises simplifies the way customers can print through NFC touch-to-print capabilities(6), wireless direct printing, HP ePrint(4) and HP AirPrint.(5)
“The expectation of today’s business customer is to print securely from any location or device,” said Yong. “HP is committed to deliver simple, secured mobile print solutions that can help customers solve the mobility challenge of working while in the office or on the go.”
Continuing its tradition of firsts in mobile printing innovation, HP announced the industry’s first Mopria-certified printer – the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 – that supports embedded print for Android-based devices as well as simple, secure mobile print options including NFC touch-to-print(6) and wireless direct. This device also comes with the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) feature that simplifies access control for scan, fax or copy functions and improves productivity with corporate email directory lookup.
(1) Durability testing performed by Buyers Lab showing HP Officejet Enterprise Series completed 188,000 pages without failure. Head-to-head testing against leading competitors showed HP Officejet Enterprise Series printed 75,000 pages with no failures or paper jams.
(2) Comparison based on manufacturers’ published specifications of fastest available color mode (as of November 2013) and includes colour laser MFPs ≤$3,000 USD, based on market share as reported by IDC as of Q3 2013 and HP internal testing of printer in fastest available color mode (sample 4-page category documents tested from ISO 24734). For more information, see hp.com/go/printerspeeds.
(3) TCO comparison based on HP internal research of manufacturers’ published specifications, manufacturers’ suggested retail prices, cost per page based on ISO yield with continuous printing in default mode with high-capacity cartridges and long life consumables (as of November 2013) including majority of color laser MFPs <$3,000 USD. Details are available at hp.com/go/officejet and hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies.
(4) Local printing requires mobile device and printer to be on the same network or have a direct wireless connection to printer. Wireless performance is dependent upon physical environment and distance from access point. Wireless operations are compatible with 2.4 GHz operations only. Remote printing requires an internet connection to an HP web-connected printer. App or software and HP ePrint account registration may also be required. Wireless broadband use requires separately purchased service contract for mobile devices. Check with service provider for coverage and availability in a specific area. Additional information is available at www.hp.com/go/mobileprinting.
(5) Requires an internet connection to the printer. Feature works with any connected internet- and email-capable device. Requires HP Web Services Account Registration. Print times may vary. A list of supported documents and image types is available at http://www.hpconnected.com/. A list of additional solutions is available at http://www.hp.com/go/mobile-printing-solutions.
(6) NFC technology is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity.
