NetApp, the storage and data management solutions company, has appointed Krishna Arani as Vice President and Managing Director for ASEAN and Korea. Arani will lead the company's strategic planning, business development, marketing, and operations activities in these territories, reporting directly to Rick Scurfield, Senior Vice President and General Manger, NetApp Asia Pacific.

Arani will lead the charge for NetApp in ASEAN and Korea where he will look to maintain and grow NetApp’s share of the local storage markets and continuously strengthen and improve partner and customer relationships within the territories.

Arani, who is based in Singapore, started his career with HCL in India, holding several key positions in sales, marketing, and business development. He also managed the server/workstation business at IBM in Asia Pacific and Japan before moving on to help Siebel (CRM solutions) and Portal Software (telco billing solutions) with their go to market strategies. He joined NetApp in 2006 and was the Asia Pacific’s Vice President of Channels and Marketing prior to this appointment.
