The Center delivers a broad range of test and certification offerings for local customers that will help mobile device makers accelerate their product launches and strengthen the quality of their product offerings.

The Center is located in the hi-tech park in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, adjacent to Spreadtrum's customers. There are ten functional laboratories in a 500 sq m area which can also support the certification processes for devices launching on the networks of domestic and global operators.

"For manufacturers, good quality means vast test equipment expenditure," said Dr Leo Li, Chairman and CEO of Spreadtrum Communications. "The Spreadtrum Shenzhen Center for Innovation in Engineering is groundbreaking in its ability to provide comprehensive testing resources to handset makers. The combination of Spreadtrum's global field test experience with comprehensive test equipment can help our customers further accelerate time to market and meet the quality demands of the global market."
