Facebook adds more opportunities for monetisation

Source: Facebook blog post.

Facebook Co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg kicked off the morning keynote and highlighted three themes of Facebook's F8 developer conference this year: Putting people first, giving people more options to connect through the Facebook family of apps, and previewing the future of sharing.

The company announced in a blog post more than 25 products and tools to help developers build, grow, and monetise mobile apps, and expects significant interest from developers considering that Facebook provides connections between every mobile platform and a potential audience of 1.39 billion people, Deborah Liu, Head of Platform, Facebook and author of the blog post said. Over 70% of developers, Liu added, are outside of the US.
