Acronis is a Challenger in the disaster recovery as a service space

Acronis, a data protection provider, has been positioned by Gartner, in the Challengers' quadrant in the Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service* (DRaaS) report published April 21, 2015. As part of the report, Acronis Disaster Recovery Service was evaluated on completeness of vision and ability to execute, positioned the highest among the challengers on ability to execute.

According to the Gartner report, the DRaaS market originally emerged to address the need to support increasingly aggressive recovery-time targets, as well as more frequent and lower-cost testing while understaffed – without requiring a significant time commitment by existing IT staff. By 2018, the number of organisations using disaster recovery as a service will exceed the number of organisations using traditional, syndicated recovery services, the Gartner report noted.

Designed for mid-size organizations and enterprises with 100 to 1,000 or more employees, Acronis Disaster Recovery Service is
a hybrid cloud service for backup and disaster recovery that protects files, servers, and data centres.

Said Serguei Beloussov, Chief Executive Officer, Acronis: “We’re focused on bringing our customers the best recovery point and recovery time in the industry, and we’re doing this with automation. Innovative services like automated, non-disruptive testing are significantly lowering our customers’ TCO and our strategy is to build more automation into the product with each release.”
