Fuji Xerox Singapore has kicked off its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Smile Pack Distribution Campaign, with its main beneficiary Beyond Social Services to provide a more sustainable environment for the community in which they operate.

Established 15 May, 1965, the same year Singapore gained its independence, Fuji Xerox Singapore will be contributing a total of S$50,000 to Beyond Social Services through its latest sponsorship with Smile Singapore, an advocacy campaign organised by Clarke Quay Central. Fuji Xerox Singapore pledged to donate S$5 for every photo submitted to the Singapore Smile Campaign, and through this initiative aims to spread joy to youths and less privileged families.

Under the theme Enabling and Empowering the Youth Fuji Xerox Singapore aims to distribute Smile Food Packs to over 1,000 households with the help of more than 200 employees to reach out to the local community on on ongoing basis throughout the year. "Beyond Social Services has been our CSR partner for the past two years, and we are excited to be working with them again this year to reach out to the community, especially the youths," said Pauline Chua, General Manager of Human Capital and Corporate Social Responsibility, Fuji Xerox Singapore.

"CSR plays an important role in Fuji Xerox Singapore. It is our vision to enable and empower our youths despite a disadvantaged background. It certainly takes a whole village to raise a child and we are glad to be given this opportunity to do our part and contribute to the less privileged families, and help them achieve better opportunities in life."

Fuji Xerox Singapore has worked with Beyond Social Services to organise friendly soccer matches and several charity movie screenings to help raise funds and reach out to the local community. Other activities supported by Fuji Xerox Singapore include organising graduation ceremonies for youths.

"We greatly value the partnership with Fuji Xerox Singapore and fully appreciate the time and effort spent by their employees," said Gerard Ee, Executive Director of Beyond Social Services. 'For us, it is important to find an organisation that can contribute towards our business vision, and we are glad to have Fuji Xerox Singapore taking an active interest to be involved in supporting some of our community programmes."

In the coming weeks, Fuji Xerox employees will also be engaging in volunteering opportunities with Beyond Social Services to help create a more sustainable environment for the community.
