According to Skyshot, the UHD quality system is solar powered, comes with an SMS alert system to protect against tampering, and stores the images stored on a 2TB space in the cloud and to Skyshot's own backup server.
“The Titan is designed and engineered to work well in harsh environments like construction sites and shipyards. It is definitely going to re-shape how long-term time-lapse are done in a big way,” said CK Chan, Founder and Executive Director, Skyshot.
"You have patiently recorded your time-lapse project over several years, and what you really want is to make sure that by the time you record the last frame, the whole video can be played back at the highest quality,” added Michael Chua, Executive Director of Skyshot.
According to Chan, Skyshot's time lapse cameras have been in use for two years. Some 30 units of the Titan's smaller brother, the Tank, are already in use around the region. An NGO uses the Tank to document reforestation efforts in Sumatra, while other clients are in construction and research.
Skyshot will be at BroadcastAsia2015 from 2 to 5 June at Booth 4G3-01, Roselle Room, Marina Bay Sands.
