Kathrein, which provides technology for mobile communications, indoor communications and broadcasting, is making the Asia Pacific (APAC) telecommunications market a priority. The company plans to create solutions to meet technical demands in the APAC region, and is expanding its regional sales network as well.
Kathrein currently has 11 sales affiliates and partners, and more than 800 employees work in the APAC region for the Kathrein Group, including two plants in China. A regional sales
headquarters already exists in Hong Kong and is responsible for
markets in China, South Korea and Japan. Kathrein only expanded its
activities in South Korea last year, and will open a new sales affiliate in Singapore shortly that will be responsible for Southeast Asian markets, the company announced during CommunicAsia.
The company presented new mobile communication
antenna systems in Singapore at CommunicAsia, including an antenna featuring a low band filter design, enabling independent operation of four
systems in compact installation spaces. The filter technology was
developed by Kathrein, and is the industry standard today. Kathrein also showed a micro-cell antenna that supports flexible network planning through customisable settings.
