George Slessman, CEO of IO, a data centre services company, has joined the SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) advisory board. SAP provides business software, and has regional headquarters in Singapore.

Slessman has been a technology visionary and leader for nearly 20 years. He has founded and successfully exited several businesses, inventing and delivering transformational software, hardware and clean energy technologies for the benefit of enterprise, government and service provider customers. He is the inventor of 34 patented and patent-pending technologies.

“I look forward to learning from the SAP team and contributing to the development of technology and business growth in the region,” Slessman said.

SAP enables people and organisations to work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively to stay ahead of the competition. Similarly, IO provides data centre technology and transparency that empowers enterprises to outperform their business goals. IO customers have the ability to scale their data centre footprint in a secure and sustainable environment. Both companies share a customer-first approach and culture of data-driven improvement.

“We are happy to have Mr Slessman join our newly developed APJ advisory board,” said Colin Sampson, Senior VP and ambassador for SAP Asia Pacific Japan. “He brings expertise in disruption, insights into next-generation global IT, and a strong commitment to the APJ market.”

The SAP APJ advisory board consists of business leaders from various industries, including financial services, public sector, consumer, oil and gas, media and telecommunications. Members provide guidance around key issues such as sustainable growth and market development, industries and solutions, governments and regulators, new business models and opportunities.

In addition to the advisory board at SAP APJ, Slessman sits on the board of directors for Nourish Technology, cSuite, IO and BASELAYER.
