Australian-owned music streaming service Guvera has been nominated for Best Mobile Music App at the 2016 Global Mobile (Glomo) Awards. The nominations come off the back of a stellar 2015 for Guvera, which saw it expand its operations into 20 markets and reach more than 15 million registered members worldwide.

Guvera Global Commercial Director, Stephen Deane said: “The Glomo nominations are recognition of how far this company has come. Our world-class team has developed a truly immersive entertainment platform that genuinely engages people.

“From a commercial perspective, our unique brand-funded model allows brands to create meaningful connections with consumers through a shared love of music. It allows artists to be rewarded for their work, brands to promote their message to customers and members to have a non-disruptive listening experience.”

Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA said: "Congratulations to all of the nominees for the 2016 Glomo Awards. With more than 930 entries this year – a new record – the competition is greater than ever, reflecting the tremendous diversity and pace of innovation across the mobile world. We are particularly excited to be celebrating the 21st year of the awards with a dynamic new format that will recognise and honour achievement throughout Mobile World Congress.”
