Softbank leverages Dialogic PowerMedia XMS software media server for web conferencing

Dialogic, a cloud-optimised applications and infrastructure solutions specialist, has announced that SoftBank has selected Dialogic PowerMedia XMS software media server as a core network element of its new multimedia web conferencing solution, supporting SoftBank's enterprise collaboration needs for video conferencing and chat room capabilities. Softbank provides mobile communication, fixed-line communication and Internet connection services to customers in Japan. 

The WebRTC-based web conferencing application will replace ageing legacy video equipment and services for employees across divisions and brands. SoftBank has plans to make the service commercially available in the near future.
