Bull launches Data lake & analytics factory by bullion

Through its technology brand Bull, Atos has launched a big data appliance – the Data lake & analytics factory by bullion, as part of the Atos Codex offer.

The solution is big data 'in-a-box': integrated with the bullion server as an appliance that automates data collection, storage and analytics, allowing big data applications to be deployed in a few days instead of in weeks or months.

“Thanks to end-to-end integration, from (the) hardware to software layer, we can commit on performance,” said Arnaud Bertrand, Senior Vice President for the Big Data & HPC Division at Atos.

The appliance supports smart log analysis, search- and geo-localisation, and can be used to create data lakes based on Hadoop technology. Additional components can be deployed from a self-service catalogue.
