Mastercard creates new VP role for digital partnerships

Mastercard has appointed Rama Sridhar to the newly created role of Executive VP, Digital and Emerging Partnerships, Asia Pacific. The move occurs as Mastercard accelerates its domestic relevance, drives new and existing digital innovations and grows new payment flows.

With the digital environment becoming increasingly critical, Rama will be responsible for building strategic engagements with key digital and emerging payments players to drive market momentum of Mastercard’s products and services. She will lead the organisation’s effort to initiate new relationships and deepen existing ones in order to build and commercialise innovative and breakthrough payment services and solutions. To fuel sustainable growth, Rama will be working with partners who share a mutual commitment to innovating and enabling seamless, convenient and secure payments on every device.

Rama brings over 28 years of international experience in key roles within the payments, consumer banking and information technology sectors. In her 10 years with Mastercard, she has had a distinguished track record of driving growth and execution in multiple functions across the business. In her previous role as Senior VP of Security, Network and Processing Solutions in Asia Pacific, Rama successfully drove momentum for the business unit through well-defined growth strategies and product line launches across security, identity verification, as well as issuer and acquirer processing.
