Parallels, a global player in cross-platform software solutions, has announced the appointment of two Parallels veterans as new business leaders in the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions. The appointment of the new business leaders underscores the company’s commitment to Asia Pacific markets in a time where demand for enterprise mobility and remote application delivery continues to grow.

Kevin Greely has been appointed GM, Parallels Asia Pacific, where he will be responsible for spearheading customer and partner engagement and driving strategic business development across key Asia Pacific markets, including Australia and New Zealand, the Greater China Region, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Based in Sydney, Greely will take over from outgoing Asia Pacific GM Jerry Huang, who has left the company to pursue other interests after steering its growth over the past year.

Greely joined Parallels in 2011 as Channel Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). His sharp business acumen and focused approach on building partnerships with the local channel ecosystem soon led to his promotion to Country Manager of ANZ, where he drove significant business growth working with key retailers, distributors, value-added resellers (VAR)s and systems integrators. Building on his demonstrated capabilities with Parallels, Greely will lead the charge in helping CIOs and IT decision makers across the region leverage desktop virtualisation and remote application delivery solutions to achieve business success.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to deepen our relationship with our partners and customers in Asia Pacific amidst widespread digital transformation across all industries,” Greely said. “The region is home to an exciting blend of mature and emerging markets, each with its unique set of IT challenges. I look forward to serving more partners and customers and breaking new grounds with our market leading virtualisation and remote application delivery solutions.”

Prior to Parallels, Greely was a marketing director in distribution, focused on software and consumer electronics markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Parallels also welcomed Daemon Liu as the new Country Manager of the Greater China Region. Liu will oversee the rapidly-growing markets of mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and focus on driving Parallels products and solutions deeper into the markets.

“Small and mid-sized businesses in the Greater China Region are growing at an unprecedented rate,” said Liu. “As these companies look to take on the region and the world, they are demanding IT solutions tailored for their often highly specific challenges. I look forward to helping them solve these complex IT problems with Parallels expertise in virtualisation and remote application delivery.”

Liu joined Parallels in 2013 as a Field Marketing Manager for the Greater China Region. By working closely with customers and partners on the ground, he successfully expanded the market share and influence of Parallels products and solutions in Chinese markets. In 2015, he rose to take on a marketing role that covered the Asia Pacific region, in which he played an integral role in supporting the company’s external marketing and communications efforts for major products including Parallels Desktop for Mac, Parallels Toolbox, and Parallels Remote Application Server.

Before joining Parallels, Liu served in leadership roles in leading multinational technology vendors, including Lenovo and Huawei. He graduated from Dalian Maritime University with a master’s degree in Computer Applied Technology.

Jack Zubarev, Parallels President said: “Kevin and Daemon have both served Parallels for years with proven track records of success, and they’re no stranger to the value of Parallels products and solutions to Asia Pacific. We’re proud to see them grow alongside Parallels, and honoured to have them take on greater responsibilities to bring Parallels to greater heights.”
