Cybertech Asia 2018, the Asian edition of the international conference and exhibition, brings together players in the cyber ecosystem – government decision makers, industry leaders, thought leaders, startups, venture capital firms and experts – from the region and around the world as the platform for business in the cyber market.

Themed Challenges and Opportunities in the New Cyber Era, Cybertech Asia 2018 also hosts 80 participating companies showcasing products and services against cyber threats. They include BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, Cobwebs Technologies, Cyberbit, Digital Shadows, Darktrace, LogRhythm Singapore, Quann Singapore and Rafael.

“With Singapore and the entire region at the forefront of global cyber solutions to better protect these areas of connectivity, we are seeing that Asia is leading the way for technological innovation with key developments in fintech, critical infrastructure, energy and big data – all of which will be showcased at the exhibition and discussed in the conference over these two days.”

“Based on trends that we see emerging in research and development (R&D), capabilities for a number of areas of strategic importance such as the cyber worthiness of autonomous vehicles, vulnerability assessment, advanced threat intelligence, secure-by-design for IoT and policy and governance of cybersecurity need to be developed in due time,” said Professor Thambipillai Srikanthan, Executive Director, Cyber Security Research Centre, NTU Singapore.

“The cross-pollination of ideas and discussions between academia, government and business leaders at the conference on how insights from R&D can be brought to commercialisation will play a significant role in shaping the industry’s future.”

A key feature of Cybertech Asia 2018 is the Start-Up Pavilion, where promising and innovative international startups from the field of cyber security such as Horangi Cyber Security, Thinkcloud Technology, MeReal Biometrics, Sepio Systems, Trillium Secure, MicroSec and Scantist will exhibit. A pitching session provides the opportunity for the companies to present business ideas and offerings to potential investors, accelerators and corporate partners and network with leading companies.

“Today, as the global cyber industry faces rapid changes due to digital transformation and the growth of innovative technology, there is a need for platforms like Cybertech Asia 2018 which focuses on the commercial aspect of solutions and strategies in the cyber ecosystem,” said Leck Chet Lam, MD of Experia Events yesterday.

“It is through providing such opportunities to strengthen global partnerships and enable high-level knowledge exchange and dialogues that we can overcome challenges in a rapidly evolving cyber landscape and ensure a safer cyber domain.”
