Zebra launches new printers and software

Zebra Technologies Corporation, the rugged mobile computers, barcode scanners and barcode printers provider, has announced the next generation of thermal desktop printers 35 years after introducing its first barcode printer, known as the “Zebra Printer”.

The new printers are enabled by Print DNA, a software suite of applications, utilities and developer tools, which also launches at the same time. Zebra’s new ZD420 and ZD620 thermal transfer desktop printers and Print DNA software suite together help companies sense and analyse the status and performance of their printer fleet in real time.

·        Print DNA, powered by the intelligentLink-OS environment, comprises visibility, productivity, development and management tools.

It enables businesses to easily install and upgrade next-generation printers into existing network infrastructures, integrate new technologies, supports cloud connectivity and provides a common platform for custom solution development.

·        Both the ZD420 and ZD620 smart thermal printers are designed with simplicity of use in mind. They offer premium performance for fast-paced retail, healthcare and manufacturing environments.

·        The ZD420 and ZD620 offer a user interface with LED status icons. The ZD620 has an optional keypad user interface for easy configuration and a colour LCD display.

Chelsia Ng, Specialty Printing Group Product Management Lead, Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific said, “With the introduction of its first barcode printer in 1982, Zebra opened the door for identification and visibility of physical assets across the enterprise – two key building blocks for today’s digital revolution. Demand for intelligent printing capabilities has expanded over the years. Today, enterprises need to print more, faster, and at a higher quality.

"Zebra continues to build on its legacy of print innovation by investing in the future of intelligent printing to help businesses increase operational visibility and productivity. Be it in the manufacturing plant, warehouse, retail shop, or hospital, printers have become an integral, indispensable component of the business operations.”
