Alibaba AI Labs, the department leading consumer artificial intelligence (AI) product development at Alibaba, is launching service robots for the hospitality sector from October.
The Labs' service robot which is expected to perform duties such as delivering meals and taking laundry to guests - is what guests can expect at hotels in the future, Alibaba said. Guests can communicate with the robot via voice commands, touch and hand gestures. The robot's responses are driven by AliGenie, the software that powers Alibaba AI Labs’ smart speaker, Tmall Genie.
