EventBank expands in Asia

EventBank, a membership and event management cloud-based software company, has opened offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, bringing its office network to eight. The company provides software-as-a-service to event management professionals, chambers of commerce and trade associations in over 28 countries. 

According to EventBank, the membership and event management market is projected to be worth US$1.245 billion globally by 2023. The space covering gatherings of professionals, which include trade associations, chambers of commerce, plus the meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions (MICE) industry, has grown in tandem with regional economic development, with Hong Kong and Singapore as regional hubs for the industry. 

In Hong Kong, functioning as a centre for China-related events, the related segment of the economy is listed as being worth US$241 million in 2018 and projected to grow at CAGR of 9.3%. Singapore consistently ranks in the top three global centres for MICE with an event-related contribution to the economy valued at US$186 million and CAGR at 8.8%. An estimated 3.5 million trade visitors per year are expected. 

CEO and Co-founder Eric L. Schmidt said, "We are investing in key markets across Asia Pacific in order to provide a better service to our current and future customers in Singapore, Hong Kong and the neighbouring countries."

Software from EventBank covers event management, event automation, as well as chamber and association management solutions. These enable organisations to streamline processes, collect funds, promote activities, and manage communities. The services are available in six languages, with the Asian ones being Simplified and Traditional Chinese and Korean. GDPR compliance has been incorporated into all applications, and data is stored and backed up on servers complying with local regulations.
