New innovation showcase at Singapore Airshow 2020

The Singapore Airshow has announced a partnership with the Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation to present the Asian debut of its Lindbergh Innovation Forum at the Singapore Airshow 2020.

The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation was founded in 1977 by Neil Armstrong, General James Doolittle, Sir Edmund Hillary and other friends of Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh. It has a history of enabling innovation at the nexus of technology and the environment.

The Lindbergh Innovation Forum is a global platform to promote breakthrough innovation in aviation, from a name that is synonymous with the transformation of flight. It features inspiring and provocative presentations from innovators about technologies that will dramatically change aviation in the decades to come. The event is hosted by Erik Lindbergh, grandson of Charles Lindbergh.

The Lindbergh Foundation is well-known globally for transforming the aviation industry, said Leck Chet Lam, MD, Experia Events.

“This partnership underscores the increasing importance of the Singapore Airshow in providing a platform to shape technology and innovation trends in the growing aviation industry; especially in Asia Pacific region that is leading growth," he added.

"Lindbergh Innovation Forum will complement What’s Next @ Singapore Airshow - a platform that was launched with resounding success at the last airshow - for budding startups to showcase breakthrough concepts, interact with industry heavyweights and network with prospective businesses.”

“We are looking forward to deeper engagement in the Asia Pacific region, a leader of aviation industry growth,” said Erik Lindbergh, Chairman of the Lindbergh Foundation.

“We are honoured to partner with Experia Events to feature industry leaders and some truly breakthrough work at the Singapore Airshow 2020.”

While the list of speakers at the Singapore event have yet to be finalised; conference delegates and trade visitors to the Singapore Airshow 2020 can expect forum speakers whose stature ranks among aviation trailblazers such as Dr Frank Anton, Head of eAircraft at Siemens AG; Andre Borschberg, Co-Founder, CEO and Pilot at Solar Impulse, and Mike Sinnett, VP of Product Strategy and Future Airplane Development at Boeing. Details about the speakers for the Lindbergh Innovation Forum at the Singapore Airshow 2020 will be released at a later date.

The biennial Singapore Airshow is Asia’s largest and most influential international aviation and defence exhibition. Organised and managed by Experia Events, the Singapore Airshow also serves as a platform for high-level conferences such as the Singapore Airshow Aviation Leadership Summit (SAALS).
