Extreme Networks tempts HP and Aruba customers with new solution, deep discounts

Extreme Networks is targeting HP and Aruba customers unsettled by the recent acquisition announcement with its Secure Mobility with Analytics for the Private Cloud solution, which combines equipment, software, and licenses. The package is offered at 50% off with 50% off the first year of maintenance for existing Aruba and HP customers from April 1 to December 31 2015.

The company says it is a strong and stable alternative to HP and Aruba with experience in wired and wireless integration, application analytics, advanced policy administration and over the air security that is managed from a single interface.

The solution includes Extreme Networks' IdentiFi wireless technology, NetSight single pane of glass management system, Mobile IAM with network access control (NAC) for onboarding and Purview technology, which bridges management and analytics. Twenty-five IdentiFi access points, a virtualised mobility controller, plus software licenses for network management, BYOD and network access control, wireless IPS and application analytics are part of the solution.

Said Jeff White, Chief Revenue Officer, Extreme Networks: “This all-inclusive Secure Mobility with Analytics for the Private Cloud solution demonstrates how Extreme Networks is aggressively establishing the benchmark in secure Wi-Fi mobility. Based on award-winning network technology, this package will appeal not only to businesses determining the impact of the Aruba-HP situation, but to the broad base of healthcare, education, sports and entertainment, enterprise, and government users worldwide.”
