IDC says mobile is the star for 2015 trends in APeJ

International Data Corporation (IDC) has released the on-demand recording for its complimentary web conference on mobility trends in the Asia Pacific excluding Japan (APeJ) region for 2015.

The research firm expects the Asia Pacific mobility market to continue experiencing strong growth in 2015, with mobile in the limelight in both consumer and enterprise markets.

Key takeaways include:

  • Mobile commerce will thrive in APeJ, accounting for more than 50% of traffic across several markets
  • Asia will see the rise of many mobile wallet formats, all enabled by the QR code
  • Mobile enterprise applications platforms (MEAP) will struggle for growth with customers buying ready-made apps from large vendors and ISVs
