The China Autonomous Vehicle Summit 2017 will be held from April 24 to 25, 2017 at the Longemont Shanghai, China.
The event, organised by ECV International Shanghai Company, follows the milestone release of a Technical Roadmap for Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicles for the industry at the 2016 SAE-China Congress & Exhibition (2016SAECCE) in October 2016.
As one of the pillars of national economy, the automotive industry is clearly accelerating towards autonomous driving, and the advent of intelligent connected vehicles (ICV) represents a key development opportunity for the China government's Made in China 2025 strategy.
The upcoming summit aims to discuss topical issues on ICV and the autonomous driving industry, including V2X* and automated driving algorithms, as well as connectivity standards and the larger ecosystem. The event also assesses sensor technologies, considering radar, laser and camera innovation within the automotive and other advanced technology sectors for automated driving applications. At the same time, the summit will touch on topics such as the integration of the car with big data, as well as the sharing economy in autonomous driving.
*Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology are collectively known as V2X. V2X can also cover other aspects of vehicle connection for which 'X' can stand for anything.
